On Saturday, I opened my home to visitors of the Westgate Home and Garden Tour. This annual event that is skillfully organized by the Westgate Neighbors Association brings visitors from all over central Ohio and raises awareness of our special and marvelous neighborhood.
I want to say thank you to all of the organizers, volunteers and especially the visitors. I really enjoyed meeting and talking with all of the guests about my home and especially my garden. Overall for the tour, there were about 300 visitors. I served the iced tea with lemon verbena syrup that was featured on my site as well as in the Columbus Dispatch article. There were lots of interesting questions about the herbs I grow, my vegetable garden, the garden structures and art. Some were answered and some that will require follow up (I will get to them as soon as I can).
Now the work of summer begins. There are transplants to be done, some design work for upcoming changes to the design of the garden as well as a plan for some pretty dramatic changes to my small space…stay tuned 🙂
